In one paragraph: RoundBorders builds custom WordPress sites, themes, plugins, and integrations for businesses that have outgrown page builders and off-the-shelf themes. Every build is engineered by a senior developer to a written spec: a bespoke theme on native blocks, only the plugins the site needs, a launch checklist covering speed, accessibility, SEO, security, and editor experience, and a full handover with the code, repository, and documentation owned by the client. Fixed prices from $1,499; full site builds typically $3,499–$14,999.

Custom WordPress development FAQ

Asked before the build, answered straight.

What people ask before commissioning a site or a plugin, and what we tell them.

01

How much does custom WordPress development cost?

Custom plugins and integrations start at $1,499; full site builds typically run $3,499 to $14,999 depending on pages, features, and integrations. Every project gets a fixed price after a free scope, and that price does not move unless you change the scope.

02

How long does a custom WordPress site take to build?

A marketing site is usually 4 to 6 weeks from spec to launch; a plugin or integration 1 to 3 weeks; a store or portal 6 to 10 weeks. You get a date with the quote.

03

Do I own the code?

Yes, entirely. The theme and plugins live in a Git repository in your name, licences are registered to you, and the handover deed lists everything transferred. No retainer is required to keep the site working.

04

Why not just use a page builder?

Builders are fine for a site nobody will maintain seriously. Beyond that they cost speed (every layout is nested markup and inline CSS), lock you into a subscription and a proprietary format, and fight with caching and commerce. We build on native blocks so your team gets the same visual editing without the tax.

05

Can you work from my designer's files?

Yes. Figma, Sketch, XD, or a PDF: we build to the design faithfully and flag anything that would hurt speed or accessibility before we build it. If you do not have a designer, we design in the browser with you.

06

Will the site be fast and accessible?

It has to be to launch. The punch list gates every build on green Core Web Vitals and WCAG 2.2 AA, and the results ship with the site.

07

Which hosting do you recommend for a custom WordPress site?

We build to run well anywhere and recommend based on your traffic and budget. We are a Pressable Pro Partner but never require it; hosting stays in your name.

08

What happens after launch?

Thirty days of monitoring and fixes are included. After that you can maintain it yourself or with anyone (it is documented for that), or put it on a maintenance plan with us.
