Wix won't let you download your site. That's the lock-in. Everything still has a way out: some of it Wix exports, some we pull straight from the live site, and the design gets rebuilt, better. Nothing is retyped, and your Wix site stays live until the new one is ready.
Wix layouts don't export. This is the one honest rebuild, and it's why the new site is fast.
Speed
Wix pages carry the whole editor with them: a runtime, absolute-positioned layouts, and JavaScript you can't remove. Google measures that on every visit. Here is a typical Wix site beside the same site rebuilt on native WordPress blocks.

Every Wix page loads the runtime that powers the drag-anywhere editor, whether the visitor needs it or not. Blocks are HTML and CSS; the editor stays in wp-admin.
Absolute-positioned layouts need JavaScript to hold together on every screen size. Block layouts reflow by themselves, so phones get a real mobile site, not a scaled one.
On Wix you can't touch caching, images, or the server. On WordPress we set all three, which is most of how 34 becomes 96.
Zero downtime, drawn
The new site is built and tested beside your live Wix site. On cutover night, DNS moves on a short TTL and both sites serve until the world catches up. Browsing never stops. Forms and the store (if you have one) freeze for about fifteen minutes so the last entries and orders come across exactly.

As close as you want it, and better on phones. Wix layouts are pixels placed on a canvas; WordPress layouts are blocks that reflow. We rebuild your design with patterns for each content type, so it holds together on every screen and loads far faster. If you would like a redesign on the way, that is quoted with the move.
Not if every URL is mapped. Wix URLs like /post/your-title and /copy-of-about are crawled before the move and each gets a one-to-one 301 to its WordPress address, tested before and after cutover. Titles, descriptions, and alt text move with the content, and Search Console is told about the move the same day.
