In one paragraph: RoundBorders migrates Shopify stores to WooCommerce at a fixed price, with zero downtime. Products, variants, customers, full order history, and discount codes move across; the theme, checkout, payments, taxes, and shipping are rebuilt on WooCommerce's own rules; every Shopify URL gets a one-to-one 301 so rankings follow. The new store is built and tested beside your live Shopify store, then cut over in one evening with a single checkout pause under 30 minutes. Typical Shopify-to-WooCommerce migrations run $1,499–$4,999, quoted after a free scope.

You, Sir, are a genius. Thank you so much for helping us out. Myself and our hosting provider weren't able to find the error, Bishoy found it in less than 24 hours. Thank you so much!

Shopify to WooCommerce FAQ

Asked before the move, answered straight.

What Shopify store owners ask before switching, and what we tell them.

01

What moves from Shopify to WooCommerce, and what has to be rebuilt?

Products, variants, images, inventory, customers, full order history, discount codes, blog posts, pages, and SEO titles and descriptions all move as data. The theme, checkout, payment gateway, taxes, and shipping zones are rebuilt on WooCommerce, because Shopify themes and checkout settings do not export. Apps are matched one by one to a WooCommerce extension, a core feature, or custom code.

02

Will I lose my Google rankings when I leave Shopify?

Not if every URL is mapped. Shopify URLs have fixed shapes (/products/, /collections/, /blogs/, /pages/); each of yours gets a one-to-one 301 to its WooCommerce address, generated from your export and tested with a crawler before and after cutover. Titles, descriptions, and alt text move with the content, and Search Console is told about the move the same day.

03

Will my store go down during the migration?

No. The WooCommerce store is built beside your live Shopify store and cut over by DNS on a short TTL, so browsing never stops. Checkout pauses once, for 15 to 30 minutes, while the last orders and stock counts are moved exactly; it reopens on WooCommerce with order numbers continuing where Shopify left off.

04

Is WooCommerce really cheaper than Shopify?

Usually, once the app stack is counted. Reviews, bundles, gift cards, and coupons are core WooCommerce or one-time extensions, and there is no platform transaction fee on your own gateway. The honest new line is hosting and upkeep, which Shopify bundles and WooCommerce does not; we put it on the comparison so the number is real, not flattering.

05

What happens to Shop Pay and my Shopify apps?

Shop Pay stays with Shopify. We replace the one-tap feel with express payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Link) on top of a guest-first checkout, on your own gateway. Each app gets a WooCommerce answer in the scope: an extension, a core feature, or a small custom plugin written for your rules.

06

Do my customers need new accounts or passwords?

Accounts move with their order history. Shopify does not export password hashes, so customers set a new password the first time they log in on WooCommerce (a one-click reset email). Guest checkout works without an account at all.

07

How long does a Shopify to WooCommerce migration take?

Two to five weeks for most stores, built beside your live store the whole time. Catalogue size, the number of apps needing an answer, and whether the design is rebuilt or redesigned are what move it.

08

How much does it cost to migrate from Shopify to WooCommerce?

Most stores land between $1,499 and $4,999, fixed after a free scope of your Shopify export. Hosting and an optional care plan are separate and monthly; they are shown on the cost comparison so nothing is a surprise.
